A lil stupid, but i just wanna make sure.

Will an OBD2 USDM 99-2000Si ECU work fine on a JDM B16a motor? (obd2)

jdm b16's dont have a crank angle sensor, so you'll throw a code

no, but you might have to switch the vtec sol. assembly with an usdm one, cause of the vtec oil press

i didn't know jdm motors came in OBD2, i thought only in america, thats why they got rid of some cars here such as supra,rx7, but in japan they still had them becuase they didn't hafta worry about that obd2 crap, from my understanding, althought i do know 1 year they made 300zx obd2, but its rare and was rated at a lower hp level, since u cant find a p30 ecu anywhere i say you just get a P28 and use hondata so that its tunned for your engine

well the motor is obd1, but the distrib, ecu and harness were made obd2, so technically cant i just get a obd1 ecu and use that w/ the obd1 harness?
