Default a bit concerned about smog coming up (CA of course)!!??

I might just be paranoid but i'm definitely concerned about my up coming smog which needs to be taken care of by Sept 16th

I have a d15b2 everything is completely stock except for an aem intake left over from my other swaps...but my engine runs like crap, it has an erratic idle that bounces from 1-1.2K, i've checked everything IACV was replaced, o2 sensor checked, all vaccum hoses good and replaced...

i was wondering if you guys thing an erratic idle would make any difference? also i have a check engine light which is my speed sensor and was curious if that matters at all?? let me know.

oh and as a precautionary is "guaranteed pass" a good investment?

the reason why your car passed the second time , is cause you drove it and warmed up the cat enough to start stop emmissiond , as for the other guy guarented to pass stuff works (ITS NOT GOD but worth the 5 dollars does lower emmissions) you might also might want to reset your ecu , get some new spark plugs, oil change , add a few bottles of heet antifreeze gas tank cleaner (makes your car run clean ) retard your timimg to 14tdc , then see what happens if it fails bad could be cat o2 sensor ect ect , but try that first , also make sure you drive the car hard and on the freeway for about 15-20 minutes before going to the smog station

actually thats incorrect, I failed smog ref 5 times so I have a bit of experience with them. If when they start the test, it is off then its okay. So if it comes on during the test, they dont count that against you. It just has to be off when they start the test, it does not have to stay off.

its permanently on...by the way do they actually test the check engine light with the jumper...why couldn't i just disconnect the bulb?? or maybe even run my batter light to that bulb so when the car starts its on? then shuts off.

anyway the check engine light is because my speed sensor is all screwed up.

hmm weird.

I failed ref once of the reasons of the CEL came on.. maybe the guy was a bitch thats why he told me I need a Hydro tranny

LOL because I am using the swap as a Del Sol 95 I don't no what it has to do with emissions but who knows wtf they are talking about..

I just past my smog test at a "test only" facility for the second time...
The first time I had perfect emissions...I failed because my engine idle speed was too high and my timing was off...make sure your timing is dead on...
