What other "Go-Go" parts, I.E. HP gainers are worth getting from Spoon other than the header?
I have the 4-2-1 header on it's way as we post, and am curious if there is anything else that is worth it or feasable, Short of actually importing/ordering the full spec JDM SPOON engine for my R?
I also have a good intake so I'm set there but what else is a good Spoon part for any HP gains? And I don't count the Radiator cap or Radiator Thermostat as HP gainers. True they assist with performance and I Do plan on orering them but not HP gainers.
Is the catback worth it? I know there are as good or better right here in the States.
And the Cams I've heard lots about these in these last months so I know if I want pure power to go with Toda.
Thanks for helping a guy out that wants to take the best from each aftermarket/and OEM company!

Seriously though...for big power on an ITR means a good header and good cams.
I mean something respectable is in the 185 whp ballpark or a 20-25 whp gain from stock.
If you are not in the mood for compression changes then I suggest, the Toda A's or Spoon cams where the overlap (lobe center) is not too bad and does not bleed off dynamic compression and reduce your power gain potential. But this watersheds into getiting valvesprings and an ECU reprogram or a VTEC controller. Certainly a thinner head gasket would help with the cams.
So once you decide on cams it snowballs.
Dave has posted the Carsound cat flow numbers and my guess is your priority is that and a 2.3-2.7 in. exhaust.
That 2.7 in. kakimoto exhaust Dan mentioned sounds intrigueing.
There are plenty of members with this ITR engine package (Toda A's, JDM style header, Mugen or Spoon or cut out the center stock head gasket, 2.3 in. Cat/Exhaust, Field VTEC controller or Yoshio ECU) and good tuning experience making 190-200 whp.
cheers

Thanks guys, I just wanted to confirm what I kinda already knew. And yes when you start getting into "this" catagory of parts things do get expenxive. But, you Do get what you pay for. I am safe with these respects and will continue to research and compare what next I plan on adding. And of course I will have it all tuned, cause I know without that it is all just more expensive junk.
Oh and Michael, "AKA Tuan" right? I already have a nice colllection of silver spoons...
