my car comes from from the paint place next week. i know i have to wait 30-90 days to wax, but what about washing, buffing, polishing it??? what else should i do

I wouldn't drive it after it's just been painted. I'd sit inside and learn to use the search on H-T instead!

dont drive it for a few days, and DONT lean or put pressure on the surface cuz you will leave finger prints in the paint. Paint dries from outside in so it might look like its dry but think again! Dont wax/polish/this that for 2 to 3 months. They should be using polish on the clear coat anyways so that will protect you untill you get a wax job done.

with that said. wash it all u want. the shop shouldnt be givening u back your car til its completely finished. u shouldnt have to worry about buffing as that is one of the final steps they do before returning it. paint does take a bit to completely cure so just be careful w/ what u do. best thing to do is ask the painter about waxing and polishing

 

do not wax fresh paint. u can use polish but do not wax it. also make sure it is a polish and not a wax. meguires has some really good polishes just polish it like once a month keep the car clean and out of the sun. the polishing will make the paint cure better and the color will be deeper and more rich.
