Default Compression w/ supra pistons in SOHC?

Just wondering what kind of static compression numbers you get in a D16A6, D16Z6, or a D16Y8 when using the supra piston/B16 rod combo.

Pretty good deal if you ask me...

D16z6 block + A6 head = 8.4/1 compression Or even better D16A6 block, D16Z6 internals, D16A6 head.

The B rods and supra pistons are even better ( in theory ).
I haven't really heard from anyone that has used that set-up though, if I was more into 300whp civic and less 550hp stealth, I'd prob. know how well it works..

I dont like the idea of people doing this. The valve releifs are not make for a honda head. It may work, but its the wrong way going about it. If you are going build a motor and pull it apart you should buy pistons that were made for it.

I know of somebody using honda pistons in the miata.

You can use 1100cc Goldwing pistons in the EW1 engine (3rd gen Civic/1G CRX).

The valve reliefs are reliefs, it the pistons and valves don't hit they must work While they may not line up pefectly, there are not a lot of places they can go with a bore that small.

So is that 8.4:1 with the A6 head, Z6 block, and the supra pistons or 8.4:1 with the A6 head, z6 block, and Z6 internals?

Using all honda stuff for the 8.4/1

I think the Supra/B rods yeild the same results though..

I wish someone actually had proof of doing this. I'd like to see how it goes.

me too, I want to know If running these N/A for awhile is gunna make my car dog slow. Im planning a D16A6 block w/ D16Z6 head and those pistons/rods and I would like to end up with compression near what the A6 has stock. FYI also planning on a fully balanced/lightened bottom end w/ block guard. Want to run 15PSI er so, but I can't put on the turbo for awhile.

It will loose a little power ( vs the 126Hp the D16Z6 makes from the factory ), but It shouldn't be "slow", but some people think 12's are slow, some people think 14's are fast... You should still be able to bust a 15.8/16.5 kinda time..

But the set-up would REALLY shine after you boost it... I hipe you plan on a monster turbo, b/c It would kinda be a waste to put a ***** turbo on that kinda bottom end..

T3 .60/.50 60-trim would be perfect, IMO..
