Default Skunk2 Manifold, TB, Higher Redline?

More questions...
When getting a skunk2 mani, should you also upgrade/bore your TB? Also, do the stock cams lose power after 8000 RPM due to "suffocation" and will a new intake fix this if I were to raise the redline? And how high of a RPM are the stock springs rated?

I know the skunk2 has a 64mm inlet, and you can bore the stock gsr throttle body from 60 to 64mm, so i guess thats the best, since they would be matched....how much does a bore like that run?

Actually you can bore it from 58mm to 62mm. That's what I did for my B16 w/ S2.

all honda throttle bodies can be bored 4mm over. First generation b16 throttle bodies are 58mm and second generation is 60mm. B18C is 60mm. So the final bore will depend on which throttle body you are using.

a little info. on an allmotor car velocity is as important as airflow. thats why going to an oversize TB and an oversize IM could harm power in the long run. it all depends on the power you are pushing.

One reason why Erick Racing TB's are all tapered...70-68, 68-66 etc...

So with the following setup:
Short Ram Intake
JDM type-R Headers
type-R catback exhaust
would a bored TB and skunk2 mani help or hurt?

i just put my skunk mani. on and picked up 8 at the wheels with just a little tuning on the vafc. I am using a ctr throttle body which is basically the same you would get when sending your stock on out to king or another company to be bored out. I would absolutly recommend getting the throttle body. I am also using a skunk2 p28 with an 8500 redline. I only take it to about 83-8400 in 1st and shift out at around 8100 in the other gears. A p28 is also a must for this application.

thats weird maybe they were different on the OBD1 cars, but still doesn't make any sense to me
