I am in the process of changing my timing belt, and I couldn't get the crankshaft bolt off, so I took the car down to a friend to loosen then bolt a little bit, he cracked it and tightened it up again. The trip back to my house is about 4 km, i got half way when all of a sudden I lost power steering and all the lights on my dash panel came on, I pulled into the nearest side street and turned off my car.
Popped the hood to find out that the Alternator belt and Power steering belt came off. (im just waiting for a buddy to come and help me tow it home)
My question to you pro's out their is have i damaged my engine, or is their anything i should be cautious of when i fix it up.... ??

well, you might be missing your pully and bolt, other then that, everything should be fine.
"crack" used in the sentance above is an american hick slang term for loosening a stubborn bolt/nut.

The Camry was a rental from the accident I had with the Grand Cherokee, it was two days old when i got it with less than 10 km on the clock. The actual wheel didn't come off the whole left front suspension collapsed on the highway and i smoked the barrier at 120 km/hr (two mechanics and the insurancec inpector are claiming it wasnt bolted on correctly). Its become a pretty costly case, all i want them to do is pay for my legal bills and medical bills. It should be over within the month.
