ACT Clutch
Hey, I was told this weekend by someone that if I got an aftermarket clutch (like the act) I would put more of my power to the ground. My clutch isn't slipping at all right now, but it does of 28,000 miles of daily driving/racing during the weekends. Do you guys think that this is true, and that it would be worth it for one of my next modifications?
act sucks *** on itr's if you dont belive me as SilockPYITR
thats his aim sig... hes blown two of them at 9500 rpm shifts, being he has a jun built motor... and I mean jun built. (spoiled little bitch)

ACT is a great clutch. I have the HD pressure plate and organic street disc and it grabs awesome, and the pedal feel is like stock. I also drove a friends car with that same clutch and pressure plate with 20,000 miles on it and it grabbed just as hard as mine. Both of these cars have seen lots of track time and numerous 12 second passes.
I have used the same ACT Clutch for 3 years now with wery hard driving...EX pressure plate and heavy copper organic disk...but if I was to do it again I would get the HD pressure plate because my left leg is getting bigger than my right..
no problems but I have also heard some really bad stories about some of there Clutch sets'''I guess it comes down to how you drive you car..

Ive replaced 3 ACT clutch disks and p plates on others peoples cars that had one side of the clutch disk shatter on them, all in a 2 month period after installation. Always on the p plate side. ACT knows about the problem, but wont pay for new ones or reimburstment.. Must of been a bad batch or something. Not good if you just paid $300+ to get it installed, then having to pay again for parts and labor 2 months later.

I break ANY sprung discs within 5-10k miles. I have broken my act plate
3 times. They have fixed it for me each time for free and have given me
great customer service. I would like to see that from some of the other
companies. I know already that clutchmasters is incapable of any kind
of service whatsoever.

I'm up for donations.
But I dont want to pay the price of an OS clutch.
Would it really be too hard to find an unsprung full face disc?
That would almost eliminate all my clutch problems.
And I dont care WHO makes the disc. If it has springs in it then it WILL break.
I have had my flywheel bolts rounded off *3* times. That means *3* times
I had to cut away the bolt heads. Not my idea of fun.

Well I hope that the ACT is good...since I just ordered it.
I did a lot of research and decided from all the information gathered the ACT was the way to go.
I will let you know
