would the stereo slip right in without putting up much of a fight?

i assume it's just a normal single-DIN design, so it should.

 

no way will it fit the 96-98 civic had a special sized radio but any 99-00 civic will work tho

ok, i have a problem now. afte much wrestling with the center console and varies screws... i finally managed to get the stock radio out. however... i looked on back of that radio, and compared it to the stock 99 civic radio i acquired and the plugs r different. am i **** outta luck here, or is there some kind of adapter i need to get? i didn't think that radios could be that different... oh how wrong i was. DOH!!! anyone have any ideas here?

 

also... i'm looking on ebay at some honda head units... how do i know if a stereo from a certain honda of a certain year will work in my car?

 

just get a wiring chart for your radio hardness and the civic harness and rewire the new harness on accordingly.

i see a wiring chart on a sticker on the head unit for the accord head unit, but nothing on the civic head unit. would u happen to know where i could get a wiring chart for it?

autozone, get those wiring kit and return it after you make a copy of the colorcoded diagram

98+accord got totally new plugs also..just a friendly reminder

someone should have told you the plugs were different i thought everyone knew that 97+ got a different plug, would have been easier to get a head unit from a prelude

 

so is it impossible to get the 99 civic head unit to work in my 93 accord? if so... how would a 96 accord head unit fair?
