question about adding keyless entry to 98 civic LX
I have a 98 Civic LX, and the guy I bought my car from lost the remote. I'm tryin to get a new one soon. But I heard something about having to have the stock radio to have keyless entry. Is this true?? same with having a keyless autostart remote??

I bought a new remote when i bought my car and to program it there is a button on the stock radio. Not sure if you can do it without the stocker

The keyless entry controller is integrated into the stock radio head unit on '96-98 Civics. You must have the stock radio to use the factory keyless entry.
