I just finished my dx intake swap to mpfi and when I give it gas the car will go to 3 grand then surge it will not go passed 3200 like it's at its rev limit what is causing this can anyone help
p.s. I have been told that its my distributor but don't get why it's doing it only when I get to 3 grand it runs fine under 3 grand then acts like its at its rev limit

Well instead of checking them how bout you change them around,
the crank angle sensor is inside your distributor, its either not wired properly or the distributor is trash

the middle 2 wires should be a white next to an orange and there should be a 3rd white wire
then on the bottom with the 3rd piece ont he right side there should be a white/blue and a orange/blue. both colors there be right up and down from each other
it should look like this witht eh wires in the connector
b/y b/g
wht ong white
w/b o/b
