Lowered? Issues w/ Rear Seatbelts?
From the day I bought my car a few months ago the rear seatbelts were locked and unusable.
Yesterday, while glancing over my Helms I ran across the rear seatbelt section, it says that the mechanism needs to be mounted at a certain angle (relative to the Earth I would assume, functioning with gravity) or it will be locked.
Sooo, I head out to the car late last night (to avoid the heat) and begin removing trim. I finally get the seatbelt mechanism out and in to my hands. By tilting it a certain angle it does in fact work. HOWEVER, there is no way I can mount it at such an angle, there is only one way to bolt it in.
Therefore, I am completely out of luck, for some reason I cannot attain the specified angle when the unit is bolted in. I'm guessing it may be due to my car's "aggressive" stance? The car is lowered so that the front is slighty lower than the rear, possibly ruining the geometry in question.
Does anyone else suffer from this same problem? Am I totally off in my guess of the cause?
Any help would be appreciated, I'd like to someday hold people in my rear seats but obviously cannot without seatbelts.

you know i was thinking bout this just the other day. The car i got the belts out of was wrecked. Could there have been people in them and maybe they got jerked and they completely locked. I dont know its wierd i could never figure it out. Maybe i mounted them on the wrong sides or something. good luck with the car..

You dummy.
I only took a look at the driver's side and it had an 'R' sticker on it, perhaps the other side would have an 'L' and they just need to be swapped. Not worth the trouble still, I'm thinking this should just be my motivation to strip the damned thing
Regardless, it's still a great excuse for not ever being the DD
