itr catback on EK...how much work?
how much cutting did you have to do, and what did you have to cut...the b-pipe and/or the axle-back? is the canister actually too long for the ek's rear section??
looking for a quiet exhaust alternative....any help is appreciated.

i think someone posted this same topic a few days ago i think someone said that you will need about a inch extra to the catback for some reason? i dont remember you should use the search feature on the top of the screen

oh. here's the deal, the mid pipe bolts up if you're running a cat after your header. the rear sections needs to be shortened.

Don't waste your time with the catback, infact i don't even think the catback will work. If I were you, I would just buy an ITR axleback and have a muffler shop do some piping for you and weld on the axleback. You're going to have to cut it up a little, either the tip or from the piping because the muffler sticks out a little bit.

im gonna have to agree with ekology on this one, i have the same set up, and i ended up using a thermal mid pipe and had a shop custom make the axle back with the type r muffler, but your gonna have to have the tip cut down, because the muffler takes up all kinda space. and being a hatch the distance from your ctrailing are to your bumper is small so you have top have the muffler as far out as possible, wich makes the tip go like 3-4 past your bumper line

Or you can locate a CTR muffler and bolt it right up. The CTR muffler is much shorter then the ITR muffler.

if i could find a ctr muffler i would buy it up, but even the best parts recyclers on HT have yet to come up with any so far.
i know about cutting the tip portion of the axle-back, i did it once from an ex muffler. i guess i'd like to hear that the itr canister actually fits under the civic chassis, given the correct length cut is made on the over-the-lca portion of piping.
i'm now actually thinking of using the mugen twinloop axleback, and the itr b-pipe. that would probably be a better (performance, not $$) solution. anyone use that setup?
oh, and i did search as someone was kind enough to point out....you should try too, it took about an hour to look at all of the topics, and none answered my questions. thanks.

I got the entire CTR catback from B18C_powered_si
I forgot what I paid, but I think it was 350.
The brackets holding the ITR sway bar are Prothane I believe. Contact Will at http://www.beaksproducts.com and he can supply you with some or tell you where to get them. The gold blocks are the Beaks reinforcement kit.

that's also who i tried to source a muffler from, but he said he RARELY gets one, and for 350, i'd probably look for something a little better than stock. it looks awesome though...

The exhaust was expensive, but they are very hard to come by. And how much would you pay for an ITR exhaust and then take it to a muffler shop to get modified? And it still wont fit 100% correct.
My 2000 B18C5(w/ JDM ITR Pistons) with a JDM ITR ECU put down 171whp with the JDM Header and CTR exhaust. So I am not complaining, and the ****** is damn quiet.

yeah, you're right. i drove my wife's bone stock honda, and it was niice to not have to worry about pushing in the clutch coasting into lights, in order to be somewhat low-key. an open exhaust makes awesome power, but i think i'm gonna have to compromise for it...i need my twinloop yesterday.

UPDATED topic!!!!!!! i bought an itr b-pipe, and it fits almost prefectly!!!!! all you need to do is POSSIBLY lenghten or shorten the cat side of the b-pipe. it is an awesome b-pipe!!!!!! hope people can benefit from my labors!!!
