what removes caliper paint? need a quick answer. Thanks

Sorry to bring this thread up, but I am in the process of taking the paint off of the brakes as well (previous owner did it). I know that the aircraft paint stripper is the choice that most of you guys would recommend, but is it safe to just spray the caliper/brake connected to the rotor (all hoses still connected). I just don't want the paint stripper eating it's way into the hoses...
