Where can I buy new engine parts?
like fif i wanted a new itr head or block or anything is there anywhere else to go other than the dealership cuz there prices are crazy
well, you can get a Dart block...
but you might as well try the classifieds cuz if you dont wanna pay for a new honda part, you are gonna get a used one.

If you want an OEM honda head or block you are going to have to buy it from.. well.. the menufacturer through their dealerships. No way at all around that. Of course, Len @ Baranco Acura will likely be the cheapest price.

What I did was purchased a JDM R engine. But it can be a GSR and it certainly DOESN'T have to be JDM
I purchased the complete swap ORIGINALLY looking for the TRANNY ONLY. Well I pulled the thing apart and I replaced all the usual parts.
The Head consists of Cams, Cam gears, Valves, Springs, Rocker Arms, LMA.... Stuff Like that.
I kept some of the parts so I guess it is TECHNICALLY NOT a FULL Rebuild. But it was close enough. The engine is practically brandnew now.
I took the bare head to the Machine shop and had it cleaned and compression checked and milled it for squareness. I replace the Valves, Springs, and Cams/Camgears with Spoon Equivelents. Replaced all the gaskets and seals.
3 angle Valve Job on the Valves and massaged the ports abit for smootheness.
the BLOCK:
Same thing I took it to the Machineshop and had it cleaned and Honed out. Overbored to .25mm over and replaced the Pistons, rods, rings with Spoon stuff.
I kept the Stock Crank and rockers. I replaced the OIL pump and water pumps.
I replaced the Injectors, Distributor cap and rotor button you know all the Maintainence stuff. I ended up selling the tranny so am looking for a new tranny now.
Basics that I recommend on ANY used engine is New HG, Hone out the cylinders and check them if they need overbore or not. Check Valve seats and seals. Replace rings. That what I'd do for peace of mind.
