Shit...I might have made a boo boo (Installing my flywheel / clutch)
Yesterday I installed my flywheel and clutch, Having handled both, I sprayed them both with brake cleaner.
It didnt cross my mind to cover the flywheel bearing as I sprayed the flywheel. A while after I sprayed the flywheel, I noticed a brown secretion from the bearing. I'm afraid I might have dissolved some of the bearing grease.
Am I totally faked....or is this acceptable?
The baring still turns freely...I'm just afraid of how it might be under load.

yeah see if it works, if u can repack it (brake cleaner disolves orgainic chemicals ex. oils grease paints...) this could cause a problem down the road if the tranny is in, dont worry if u can i would repack it, but i dont think its the end of the world for ya
Put in a new one...
No use in having something to worry about later on down the road.. or have it go out early.. if there is still some grease in there.
The pilot bearing is a sealed bearing and it would be very hard to repack.

I now regret having reattached the tranny
Well hopefully it wont be too much of an issue....Whats the wrost that could happen...it could seize up right? That would cause excessive heat...but nothing else?
If its a sealed baring.....the brake cleaner shouldnt have been able to desolve it right?
BTW....is it normal that a clutch alignment tool can wabble maybe 3 degrees when in the pilot baring? I'm pretty sure I had the right sized alignemtn tool, cause its the only one that fit well.

it would sound like a piece of **** for a while..
until the bearings desinigrate, from pitting and galling..
then your left with a mis-aligned input shaft. possibly destroying that.
once the input shaft bearing goes it will let oil pour onto your clutch and pressure plate, make these parts useless...
should I go on?

Been there! Ruined a good clutch

Now at a party I would be the guy that brings the crate of vodka, and makes sure that you don't get to drink it all by your self....and avoiding a huge disaster with your and the neighbors dog..
I'd drop it and replace the bearing, as said before it can lead to a big problem and its just not worth the risk. Plus a pilot bearing is cheap.
