Default Hit the dyno today, some bad stuff going on

Hit the dyno today to retune the car after the head work. Some pretty bad stuff was going on. On my first few runs the car was running EXTREMELY lean, at 6,000rpms it spiked off the scale past 18 and was pretty lean everywhere else. I messed around and started adding fuel with the FPR and it dropped down some, then I checked my timing and it was at only 13 degrees. I bumped it back to 16 degrees and the car richened itself out alot, but still wasn't close to being good. I kept on raising the FPR until I was at 64psi and didn't want to push any further. That made it a little better. I then adjusted the VAFC to add a little more. Now the car seems to die when I come to a stop. Why would it run so lean when I haven't added anything new except Portflow inner valve springs?

Sorry about the post I keep getting kicked off the computer for some unknown reason.

weird sounds like it might be an electirical problem. Maybe the car isn't firing correctly causing rich then lean conditions in the motor. I don't know just guessing here.

recheck all of the tq setting on the bolts for the IM, and double check vacuum lines and anything else.

you replace valve seals on your head when u put new valves in? what else did you do besides put new springs in?

Your fpr may be toast. My factory fpr died at 50k miles.

.....is the head flowing that MUCH more now after the headwork?

Did you make more power by adding fuel?

Get yourself some bigger injectors. I'm guessing it's running too rich and bogging at idle..... lean out with the vafc at idle in the meantime - that'll fix your car dying issue.

Sorry about the short post. My server kept timing me out. On a friends comp. now.

My mods are Skunk II stage one cams, STR cam gears, B&M FPR and guage, VAFC, Portflow inner valve springs.

I found out my problem. I'm throwing a code 3 which means my MAP sensor is not working right . I'm guessing when I accidently hooked it back up to the TPS sensor (swapped them by accident) it burned it out. I'm surprised the car is even running. I still pulled 180whp without it working right .

My mods haven't changed except for the springs and FPR. I also had the valve seals replaced along with all of the top end gaskets I removed.

That will do it. BTW, if you have to buy a MAP sensor, get one for a late model TL instead of an Integra. Functions the same, but is about 1/4 the price of the Integra MAP.

I have an Interga MAP sensor laying around I can give you a deal on if someone wants to confirm that a GSR and ITR use the same part (I suspect they do).
