I know I have seen many coilovers lately that do not have a rubber boot that protects the shaft from road grime and other junk - I'd be careful with those.

it doesn't quite make sense to have a $2000+ setup and let it harassed by canadian salty road....

<- swapped coilover with stock suspension every fall/spring. troublesome but worth it.

What do they rust? For 2k, I'd expect them to be perfect.
You could always coat everything with grease. Messy, but rust cant form without air.

I have Gound Controls on my DA Integra and they have held up well for several winters. The 6061 aluminum sleeves still work like new (just have to wash them well) and the springs have very little rust (only some paint has chipped off, but what do you expect).

I have the full Tanabe Sustec system on my ITR, but can't comment on them because I haven't driven it in the winter...

I used my Tein HA's for the past 4 winters and they are in very rough shape. Last year the adjustment perches seized and cracked when we needed to adjust them. There is also alot of service rust. I believe there is a brand that is advertised called KW that is suppossed to be a coilover you could use year round but I don't if there is a Honda application.

Any coilover thats aluminum bodied with greased threads should be fine. Just take care of them.

Tein Flex has the teflon coating to prevent rust.

I don't think so. All Tein perches are made of cast aluminum and quality is not as good as it should be. I have friends who had seized perches for his RAs

I don't drive in very bad weather, but I still clean and WD-40 my HAs every time I change rims. So far no rust or any problems.
