When I made mine. I was told I could use the same jumper to set my timing to check ECU codes. Try that. They said it depends on what directions used but its worth a shot at least. Should be under your hood on the driver side.

i believe you can run a wire from D14 to a switch and then ground the other side. grounding D14 should activate the CEL codes for a P28 but i need to check and verify this.

It's pin D4. But you are correct.

Sorry guys, I have that switch on my ECU hooked up to the Brown wire (D4 i believe ) and a black ground wire. I took out my IAT just to make sure that i would throw a code and the light never came on.

So, once i have that switch flicked and i am grounding out the D4 wire, i should push a code to my dash light right? but how do i make sure my ECU is hooked to the light on my dash? Sorry if this is a dumb question but i'm new to the import world...Thanks!

Default Dead ECU?

Alrighty, my last post was about trying to get my check engine light to even turn on (dead bulb) when the car wouldn't even start. Now i got the light to work however the light wont blink when i ground out the D4 wire like it should. I was doing some wiring under the hood and think i possible could have fried my ECU. All the connections are there, my turn signals, gauges etc. work and the car even turns over but it wont start. I don't think it's the fuel pump either. I have a P28 hooked up to a D16Y8 in my 88 CRX. How would i check if my ECU is fried? I opened her up and saw no visible damage. PLEASE HELP
