Default Throttle cable sticking

I swapped an EX manifold onto my 99 hatch awhile back, and I swapped in an EX throttle cable too. Now the throttle sticks, not all the time, but often when I come to a light and push in the clutch, it will just stick at 2500-3000, pretty much wherever the gas was. I tried adjusting the tension thinking maybe it was too tight, not helping. I don't have any other ideas. Any suggestions as to what could be the problem? Thanks.

Andy

try wd40 or some type of grease where the throttle cable enters through the firewall

your t/b could also be sticking causing the same thing. just try and get some carb cleaner and clean out your t/b. i have the same thing happening to me i thought it was the cable so i replaced it and it still does it. so i'm gonna get some gum out and clean out the t/b.
