Re: throttle cable or throttle body??? (19992civichatch)
i would first check the throttle cable for pinches...its prob getting stuck somewhere...happened to a DA i used to have...had a GSR and the braket that holds the cable was up high so everytime i closed the hood, i would put stress on the cable causing it to get fcked up and stuck by the little rubber boot...

yea man, try taking your intake off and manually moving the throttle rotor and see if the TB butterfly gets stuck...if so, take it off and clean it with some simple green or something...

bingo.
but just FYI, things i would have checked as a list...
check the throttle body. have someone step on the gas while you watch your throttle body. Oil up the rotating disc as needed. Carb cleaner on the inside of the TB.
check under your dash for your pedals to see if everything is copacetic, bolts there tightened etc.
take out throttle cable and examine it. maybe you need a new one.
shouldn't be too hard of a fix.
