removing 5th gen paneling?
im trying to get rid of this tach which is mounted on the left pilar.. i havne't really looked into it.. but what is the easiest way to remove the paneling around that area so i can remove the wires?
and where does the tach connect 2?

Your going to have to trace the wires to figure out where they go. There is a ignition power wire, ground, tach signal (blue wire that can connect to the ecu wiring, engine near distributer or intake box or the stock tach), and a wire connected to a power source that has 12 volts when lights are on. Sorry for the vageness but there are may ways to wire that thing. The plastic should be one piece that pops off if I remember correctly.
no, don't do that. If you just cut the wires the tach signal could possibly short out screwing up your whole tach system. Well that's if you just go and cut cut. Make sure you tape the tach (I know, sounds dumb and should be a given but people don't always tape wires like they should)
