Q's about LS/Vtec build up *already searched*
I am in the process of gathering a parts list for my LS/Vtec and have a couple of questions.
here is the proposed setup
LS block (obviously)
LS crank and rods
CTR or ITR pistons and rings
b16 head (ITR cams and valve springs/titanium retainers)
new Honda bearings
new itr oil pump and water pump
vtec timing belt
LS head gasket
ok so here's the Q's
1. will there be a problem with piston to valve clearance with the ITR/CTR
pistons on the LS rods and the ITR cams?
2. who makes the best all inclusive LS/Vtec oil line kit? Endyn?
3. what kind of compression #'s would I be looking at
4. my goal is 200whp N/A, is it possible with this setup?
That's all for now, Thanks guys for any help, I've done plenty of mechanic work before on my car but I've never built a motor before.

i dont think there is a problem with clearance, but if you use those pistons the rods will have to be machined to fit. ctr pistons will make almost 12 to 1 compression. i used oversized b16 pistons which do not have to be machined and make 11.5 to 1 compression.
not to sure about the oil lines, we made our own.

for the oil line i recomend this: you dont have to tap the block and its alot cleaner.

1) you have to clay the motor with EVERY non - stock combonation

2) Golden Eagle Ls/Vtec Kit

4) why hell yes.

Thanks guys, forgot about C-speedracing, The golden eagle kit looks like it would be a good investment. i think I'm going to go with the P30 pistons that are in my motor now, according to c-speedracing yields 11.6:1. That should be plenty for my daily driver.
