Q's about LS/Vtec build up *already searched*
I am in the process of gathering a parts list for my LS/Vtec and have a couple of questions.
here is the proposed setup
LS block (obviously)
LS crank and rods
CTR or ITR pistons and rings
b16 head (ITR cams and valve springs/titanium retainers)
new Honda bearings
new itr oil pump and water pump
vtec timing belt
LS head gasket
ok so here's the Q's
1. will there be a problem with piston to valve clearance with the ITR/CTR
pistons on the LS rods and the ITR cams?
2. who makes the best all inclusive LS/Vtec oil line kit? Endyn?
3. what kind of compression #'s would I be looking at
4. my goal is 200whp N/A, is it possible with this setup?
That's all for now, Thanks guys for any help, I've done plenty of mechanic work before on my car but I've never built a motor before.

Not with that setup can you hit 200whp stock, but it easily has the potential. I had ls/vtec loved it. I would go with b16a2 pistons though, they have a higher comp then ITR pistons, and use a GSR head, and mill it like .010. That should give you around 12.1 compression. CTR pistons will be too high compression for the street unless you have hondata and a good tuner.
Other option is to get itr pistons and gsr head, and mill the head more to get the compression, bc ITR pistons have a heat coat on the sidewalls of the pistons to cool the temp down, which helps. (The CTR's also have the heat resisting coat on them)
