ugh' i've heard about this before.. some of my friends warned me prior to installing my new valve cover about not torquing them too much.
best bet is to buy an easy out - its this drill bit that goes in and unscrews the remaining portion of the bolt out of the hole.. i don't exactly know how it works but your probly gonna have to do something along those lines..

you can buy a new one from honda. Remove the valve cover and all you need is a deep socket (probably 10mm) to take the old bolt out. That's how the b16 is. I am sure it is similar for the d series.
