Default Tips for a swirl free visit to the dealership???

Hi, I've recently had a terrible incident with the Honda dealership giving my car a "complimentary" swirl job, I mean car wash.
Anyways, I have an appointment for a different Honda dealership to fix a window problem. I plan on having them put in writing to "not touch my cars paint, and if it absolutely must be done then do not clean it at all and of course do not wash it. I also planned on having the service manager look at the three dents on my car and put in writing that he saw that there is only three dents, and also put in writing that the car is dirty (I'm leaving it dirty on purpose to make sure it doesn't get touched). I also am going to request to talk to the mechanic to make sure my wishes are verbally given, as well as written.

Shew, ok, that's my plans. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to go about dealing with this place?
Any tips/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, the car is going in early tomorrow morning, so any tips fast would be a blessing.

I never thought of the pictures. Well I do plan to stay there, I'm not sure I can watch the work done though. Maybe I can, I dunno I've never to the place before and from what I saw driving past it looked freakin' huge. They had like bays you drive in to check in. They have colored teams lol, I'm having work done by "silver team".

Dude the best thing you can do is be polite and ask that they not wash your car...
There's no way ANYONE can do anything to your car without touching it...
just be polite and ask them to please be careful and explain the bad experience you had with the other shop.
Being **** as to get everything in writing will only **** people off, not that they'll do a bad job but noone likes to work angry and being watched as if they INTEND to do something wrong.

Ok, it went alright . I was polite, and just asked to not have a car wash, and didn't bother having him inspect the car or anything like that, I also put a piece of white tape on the keychain that said "do not wash car". Their policy is no car wash unless the customer requests it because it takes up their time and they're a VERY fast moving place.
The guy seemed pissed that I requested it, and seemed even more pissed after I told him my story why I was so concerned because of another Honda dealership giving my car a wash (without my permission) and scratched up my mirror like finish. But I guess he cooled down because when I paid the bill he apoligized if he came off being rude, and said he understands my concern. I didn't plan on going back because of his attitude, but I might give them another shot since they were cool. Plus, my car was 2 days over it's warrenty and they still did the work for free so that was nice.

Thank you for being polite. I work at a Honda dealership myself and the last thing we need our extremely ****, crazy people...does nothing but make our jobs much more harder and frustrating than it really needs to be.

The only thing I don't like about dealerships is that they charge up the *** for everything. No wonder everyone I know likes working there.....

Well I would really like to be able to talk to the mechanic. I've had a dealership do suspension work on my car before, and the reception guys would only dictates my requests, not let me take 30 seconds to talk to the mechanic. The mechanic didn't understand the dictation and didn't do what I wanted. Not his fault though.

If you don't want problems, work on the car yourself.

I can't afford to pay for my college and spend another 20k to go to a mechanics school I would love to though, no one does better work than yourself. Maybe in a couple of years I can save up for it.

Hondas are probably the easiest to work on. I never went to mechanics school but I can take my car completely apart and put it back together. You'll never know how unless you try.

My friend learned how to work on his car by watching other people. But he later did go to a mechanics school to get a higher paid job. I'm just too afraid to mess with most of the bigger stuff in my car. I'm not very mechanically inclined hehe.
