Default Will a stock clutch wear out on a turbo car?

Is there a need for an aftermarket clutch for a 5th turbo prelude with around 280-300 whp? Will the stock one wear out?

How come then I don't see too often aftermarket clutches in people's turbo setups?? Why the stock ones are so crap if they can't take 300whp? That's for a 5th generation Prelude...

A quick test to see is take it up to redline, drop the clutch and see how it handles it... j/k Yea you will definetly need a new one.

Some people don't even mention clucthes in up grades. It's just apart of what you have to do when going FI.

Ok then, can you recommend me a good clutch for prelude that will last "forever" and I won't have to change it every other month. Also, I don't need some super-duper 2000whp clutch, just something for 300whp range, and which would not be a nightmare to drive..the car is for street driving. Anyways, I just don't want the aftermarket clutch to ruin the clutching experience, just enhance it if it can, or stay the same as stock. Sorry for the dumb requests, I'm just not too much of a genius with clutches

ACT. Or action clucth. those will do fine. Find the spplication you need and it will work great. I don't suggest getting a 6puck, becuase there a pain to drive everyday, with the chatter feel of the clucth.

My cluctch masters clutch in my si is a stage 3 and seems to work just fine. I would not go with an act it has a real stiff feel at the pedal and with my experience with clutch masters is that it feels like stock just dont grab like stock it grabs hard is think a stage 3 should be all you need mabey a stage 4 but that i pushing the dravablility that you want.

Not true about ACT, it just depends on what application you get and personal preference.

your stocker will wear out faster than a fat bitch on a stairmaster

don't wanna buy a clutch ever again? Tilton Twin Disc...Feels like stock and holds 700 ft lbs.

What about the flywheel? Is there a need for an aftermarket flywheel for an aftermarket clutch?

I'm thinking about a new clutch also, but its weird how my stock clutch holds after almost 2 years of being boosted.
