Which clutch?
I am going to be installing a greddy turbo kit on my '00 d16y7 this coming up week and am going to run it at 10psi hondata tuned. My question is, how long do you think I will get out of my stock clutch and what aftermarket clutch would you guys recommend for a d16y7. Thanks

Re: Which clutch? (Pfieffdog)
i have the same setup and i have been looking for a clutch for myself also because 6 psi overpowers the stocker. i have come up with an act full face disk with a heavy duty pressure plate and the exedy racing clutch as my 2 clutches and seemingly most popular to choose from.

ACT HDSS w/ hybrid street disc.....works beautifully, its a 2100 lb. clutch...they grab nice and have awesome holding power.....without being a menace to the lil d-series tranny...i have one on my turbo crx, no problems at all....

get one made.
a friend got a 6 puck made for $170 by Asheville clutch.
I'll be getting one made very soon for my turbo d sereis. My b18c1 had a custom clutch in it too...made with Diaken parts...4 puck, grabed great and lasted. It only cost me 260 for EVERYTHING
Custom is teh way to go!

Re: (MiraiZ)
My friend just showed me a good deal on Spec clutches. Any word on them? Their 6 puck is $320 (which is prolly over kill) and the disk is $300 even (which will probably have more than enough holding power). I've also found a good deal on a ACT flywheel at Discountperformance.com $134 for a 12lb. NOT bad
$430 for clutch/fly i like it

You might find that they are priced a little bit higher than ACT and Clutchmasters, etc.. but IMO it's worth the extar money. They have been around for years, lotta Supra's runn'em.
