Head Broke off Bolt, Do i need to fix/How?
I was changing my brake pads, not really sure why i decided to try and get this bolt out but i stuck a socket to it and gave it a little tug and off came the head, with the rest still inside.
I believe all this piece does is hold the brake line up. And there is 2 bolts so i dont see it being to much of a problem if i dont drill out the bolt.
Here are the pics, and i apoligize for the quality all i have is a webcamera, i'm going to borrow someones digicamera in few days and take a bunch of pics of my car and **** when i get it all cleaned up.
Heres a Pic of it closeup, to show you the bolt im talking about
Heres one and I circled where the part is, here u can see that its the piece that hold on the brake fluid cable...

And another one for the hell of it.

Do you think it would be allright to leave it be, personally i dont like the idea although im not sure how i would go about fixing it drilling it then i would have to have a bit? that will rethread the piece? Not really sure what im going to do about this... yet again sorry about the quality, im poor..lol You like my little flash light trick for the flash? lol
- Thanks - Eric

If you can fix it by drilling it out, why not? But if all it does is hold that brake line in place and nothing is leaking, then you're fine.
it doesnt go all the way through, or at least i dont think it does, so it would be really tricky to drill.... Then if i drill how do i rethread the whole? Is there a special bit?
you can either just leave it there. zip-tie it to wherever it needs to go (the pics arent working so i dont know). or drill out the old screw and re-tap it. they make a kit called a tap and die set. it basically just re-threads screws and nuts. but honestly. i would just leave it go. or zip-tie it up since its not that big of a deal
If the bracket is the triangular one with 2 screws you do not have to have both-but it is a good idea long term to fix it. There is a set of Craftsman screw extractors with a builtin drill bit for small screws-not cheap but it works. As to the hole being a "blind bottom" type-YES there is a special tap you can buy to thread with. It is called a bottom tap and is NOT pointed on the end.
