Default where do you hook your WG to?

Are you guys/gals hooking your WG line to the intake manifold or the compressor housing?

You can do both. But the compressor housing will give a bad reading. Opening the 'gate at say 8psi.....while youre motor is only getting 6 1/2 because of the intercooler. You want the wastegate to open at the psi youre motor is getting. So hook it up to the manifold

i have mine on the manifold, i just wonder if since the pressure on the inside of my manifold is regulating the wastegate, what happens at half throttle underboost? is my system putting out like 14 psi, but since the throttle body is only halfway open the manifold still only has 8, this would be like having the same amount of air as full throttle but only at half. should i change my location to before the throttle body for the wastegate? is it good that my wastegate reads vacuum at closed throttle? would i get better respone between gears if it were to just read close to 0 rather than -25
