Is my tranny screwed?
It has trouble going into gear sometimes and sometimes the clutch wont release the gear. I have to give it a rev to get it to release the gear. But then sometimes it wont go into gear at all. Im taking it into the shop tommorrow only because i dont have time to fool with it. Could the cable be loose or maybe a bad throwout bearing. Someone please tell me this is not a big problem. Thanks in advance.

Might Help if we knew what kind of tranny. Hydro Cable ? What engine? any mods?
Just off the top of my head I might gather that the Clutch is not Fully DISENGAGING
But it's hard to tell. When did it start? Has it been a gradual process or was it all of a sudden? The more info the better we can help

Unfortunately i do not know how many miles are on the clutch. It is a 95 Integra SE with 121000 on the tach. I just bought the sob today and on the way home the car started misfiring and basically driving like shyt. Well i solved that... (faulty msd plug wires) but now the ******* tranny is having problems. Anybody have a clue? Also, the car was inspected yesterday and passed. Do i have any recorse. I think the fvucker might have payed off the guy to pass him. Thanks for any help guys.

Sounds to me like a spring popped out of place on the clutch disk, and is getting stuck periodically between the disk and the flywheel or pressure plate. The same thing happened to my car and several cars on this board. It's a common problem on all Integras, and seeing the mileage on your car, it's probably time to swap out the stocker for something a little nice, ie: clutchmasters, ACT, centerforce, etc.
well because i dont currently have access to a shop i had to take it into midas. They said it was a bad slave and master cylinder. I dont really have much faith in that but thats what they told me. Anyways, because i have no other recourse and i need a car yesterday i had them go ahead and do it. 480 ******* dollars later i'll hopefully have a car tommorrow. )=
dont take it to a place like that, i used to work at a firestone, and they suck when it comes to diagnosing. dealership is your best bet....bleed the clutch line, and see if it still does it.
I think midas played your *** man. You need to be smart on things like this or your just going to throw your money away. Midas isn't going to help you out like the dealership would. Its a clutch problem by the sounds of it and then we tell you that and you go to midas
...basically just saying our info was **** and you'd rather do your own thing.
Hopefully they didn't screw you over for nearly 500 bucks that would have been great cash for a new clutch
.....goodluck bro. Make better decisions next time, unless you like throwing money around. In that case throw some my way i'd like to buy a few things
