Default pm6 qs

a friend of mine has a 91 si with a zc and pm6 in it ......the pm6 has the led in the ecu to chec codes.....but he also had a check conector for the check engine ligt but it doesnt show the codes when i jump the conecctor....

and i can tell if hess getting a code 20 or a 14 and a 6 (14 and 6 is what it seems to me )hes having idle problems and stalling ...i guess it could be the ELD or IAC......but how well would it run with the engine coolant sensor code on ???

thanks

There is no need to jump an OBD0 ECU. THe CEL will flash the codes on the ECU.

Code 14: one long 4 quick flashes
Code 6: 6 quick flashes.

Theres like a 2 or 3 second pause between codes, you just have to pay real close attention and you'll see it.

It may not even be necessarily that long- it is long enough to see a break between codes- you just have to watch.

BTW I never get any long flashes for ten- it's always ten short flashes
