Default help with place racing front crossmemember

i have had my crossmember installed for about a month now, i just never put on the mount b/c i didnt know how it connected or if it would even work w/ my old style hasports.

anybody that has installed this pleas let me know

ohh and just to let you know, you cant tell from that picture, but there is actually a metal piece that connects those bars that come out of the center of the crossmember

Does it not go in those two tabs hanging off of the front of the crossmember? looks like that to me...

What radiator are you going to use? Im not using that mount that connects to the front of the tranny. You dont really need and my car is a full drag car. 89civichatch

hrmm... i didnt get any other brackets... and i hear afterhourz (where i bought it from) has closed down. Should i contact Place Racing directly to get these brackets?

and i have already installed a 53mm koyo 92-95 civic radiator. i know i dont need it, but if i got teh mount, i may as well use it

I am not sure if the front mount will work on your ride since you have Hasport mounts and they place the engine further back in the engine bay. Place Racing mounts place the motor further up...

There should have been two flat plate "brackets" that came with the cross-member. When I got mine, Place didn't put them in the box and I had to call them. They didn't give me any problem and just sent them to me. (who ever put the package together didn't know what he was doing!)

If you are using Hasport mounts you will have to modify the brackets or make up new ones due to the engine placement being different. On the assumption that the difference in engine placement is only front to back and up / down it should be real easy to make up new plates. If there is a difference in placement side to side then the brackets would have to have bends in them or spacers made up.

Wex V is correct...they will not line up if you're using Hasport mounts.
