will this work..
just do a compression check, get it to a certain psi (100) and let it sit and see if the number goes down.
is there a reason why this would not work. i know if i did have a problem it would not tell me where the problem is , such as my rings or my valve seels , but it would tell me if i had a problem. right..

I don't know about yours but my compression tester holds the highest number on the gauge until you press the release button. I dunno maybe you have a different comp tester though.
