I just got a Skunk2 IM, and I was wondering if anyone else has one? If it was hard to install or if there was anything that I might have a problem with? And if you could tell the difference over the stock IM? Thanks
Yeah, it shouldn't be too hard. As long as you somewhat know what you are doing, you can get the job done. Make sure your arms aren't too fat, it's a biatch tightening the bolts underneath the runners. You know how to get studs out, right??
EDIT-In case you don't. The manifold won't have any studs, but the head will. You take 2 of the nuts that go on the studs. Put one on like 5 threads on, then get another 12mm wrench and put a 2nd nut on top of the first. Tighten the 2 together, then loosen the first one. This will pull the studs out. Hope this makes sense.

Why would you want to take the studs out of the head????? Its just a manifold swap.
Did the manifold not come with installation instructions?
I would
1) drain the coolant into a container
2) remove air intake
3) disconnect all wiring, vacuum, fuel and coolant lines
4) remove stock manifold brace
5) remove intake manifold
6) put papertowels in the intake ports
7) clean gasket surface
8) install idle motor, fuel rail, and throttle body on new intake manifold
9) reinstall manifold with new gasket (take papertowel out!)
10) connect up all wires and hoses
11) install air intake
12) refill coolant
13) drive!

mine was very straight forward. there is a extra coolant ine on the manifold though,it "t's" off the heater core line by the throttle body. i put a piece of 5/8 fuel line on it and plugged the other end. but i love the manifold. made considerable diffon my motor

Ok, thanks. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't completely retarded.
