uhhh no zc question

Default uhhh no zc question

i have a 88 zc dohc is there a major difference in the say 88 and the 90.. Im new in the zc world thanks for your answers... and i know of the valve cover difference

I don't think there was. I have an 88 ZC and its mighty fast, just as fast as the 89-91 I would assume.

apparently the crank snout sizes are different between the 88 & other years.

I was thinking he was talking about performance wise, like how the 88 A6 has 105hp and the 89-91 had 108hp.

a6 i wasnt refering at all to my stock usdm motor i was refering to my zc jdm dohn motor

Since we never had the ZC's in the states most places here dont know much about them, we just assume theyre all 130hp. Course we cant tell if theres any diff because there arent any new motors left to dyno and everyones used motor will have different results. However if there is a diff it would most likely be in the 88-89. Mines a 90 and it pulls just like a friends 89.

just get a b16 zc's are like a 15 year old motor you cant find any prts for them
there just going to blow up anyway i had one in 90 hatch it last for a year and
thats the longest ive ever seen one last . shitty motors nobody should waist there
money on them

well, a 1st gen b16 is just as old & tired as a ZC will be.

good point on the b16 plus in florida no one really has a zc dohc just wanted to be a little different
