umm do whatever you want. It would be easier and legal if you would just buy a high flow cat.

Just buy a high flow cat. "Stock" cats cost a fortune and keep it in case you need it later on..

Don't hollow out the stock cat, if you do, you'll regret you ever touched it in the first place.

I would say no. Keep the stock cat ($$$) it sounds like ***. Get a test pipe or a hi-flo.

you could put a straight pipe thru the cat which would be better than hollowing it out. When hollowing out a cat you make the air bounce around in the cat and you dont get a good flow

well yesterday i had a custom straight pipe put in, and i must say i'm VERY pleased with it. So now if i ever wanna go back to stock i have my cat in my garage ;D.

I did notice vtec wasn't as loud from the CAI with the test pipe. Anyone know the reasoning?

Just go get a high flow cat from ebay and get your custom mounts/brakets welded in.
