ls turbo with hondata, what ecu you guys using?
Im building a ls turbo with a hondata and was wondering what ecu to use? Are you using the pr4 ls ecu ?????
This is what i would think would make sense but........?

Well i can sorta understand a p28, not 100 percent sure why , i mean its a vtec ecu on a nonvtec motor?.........
AS for the p75 , unless yoru vehcilce was oBD 2 to start off which mine isnt . IM doing this in an EF CRX. I f i get an explanation ill go with the P28, adn if not ill just stick with my pr4

You can disable the VTEC function within the software. The P28 is more readily available and cheap. YOu can use it just fine.

Well im looking at in ontario canada 125 for an OBD 1 ls ecu, and 300 for a p28. I think i iwll go for the ls ecu. As for the disengaging of vtec , thats cool to know, didnt know about that.

the P74 and P75 ecus are for 94-95 LS/RS. I'm running a P75 ecu on my ls and works just fine.

Just a suggestion. You seemed concerned with the fact that you had to convert to obd1.
There are better choices that either of these if you would just do some research.

I'd liek to here the answer to this, too:
I know you can't use an ODB0 PR4, could a ODB0 PR3 or PW0 be used to control a ODB0 LS motor?
Would be cheaper/easier than converting to a ODB1 ECU, O2 sensor, and distributor.

The only thing that I have found that can sometimes be cheaper if you find a deal is the EFI PMS system found used. But then again, the person needs to have the datalogging software too.

Perhaps I answered my own questions..according to hondata's BBS... s100 and s200 systems aren't compatible with ODB0 PR3/PW0...
Their official response is to convert to ODB1 and use P75...

Find a compatible OBD1 ECU
