Default Coilovers vs. Lowering Springs

Am I so wrong for wanting to sell my coilovers for lowering springs?

I have a set of Skunk2's, but honestly, since I'm not running a race setup, I find them to be more of a pain than anything else, and I think that it might be too much for what I want. I have 18x7's with a 215/40 tire, so I still want a nice drop without worrying about adjusting the four springs evenly. Any suggestions on good springs? With an 18x7 wheel, I'm basically looking for the farthest drop I can have without rubbing my inner fenderwell.

Thanks

coilover or sleeve over jus allows you to adjust height. lowering springs work jus as well
but without the adjustability. i've used eibach pro-kits gives me about 1.5 inch all the way
around. you can get about 1.6-1.7 inch if you remove the rubber ring on the pillow mount
or whatever its called.

i've had gold lines, which were pretty cheap, but still decent quality. they had a 1.5" drop all the way around, and the only reason i got rid of them was that they were yellow, and i could get H&R's in graphite...i like my h&r's a little better, but the front is dropped 1.8" now. i don't know how well that will work with such big rims.

I kinda want to get the TEIN S-Tech springs... 1.9" drop in the front and 1.7" in the rear... am I correct? Does anyone have any pics of an EJ8 with the TEIN springs?

not to flame, but the first thing i would get rid of are your 18x7's then worry about springs/coilovers... racing with 18's wont do you too much good

When did I ever say I was racing?

i think thats why he was opting for springs is because he had no intentions to race.
coil-overs are more practical is you have plans to take it to the circuit, or just want to dump it had for the shows. other then that, i always believe that a nice set of springs and shocks will do a more then appropriate job...unless u can get your hands on some cheap coil-overs....

No doubt

So I think I've decided to go with the Tein S-Tech springs... I have 18" Motegi FF6s in gunmetal w/ polished lip, and they look almost identical to the Volk Racing LE37Ts... so I'm gonna try to sell mine and buy a used set of the Volks in the 17x7.5 variety.

Hey if you want to get rid of your Skunk2 coilovers how much do you want for them? I've been looking into getting some Skunk2 coilovers, so I'll take them off your hands if you want to get lowering springs.
