Default driveshaftshop.com stage 2: post-install vibrations driver's side

I've installed a set of Frank's driveshafts and there is significant vibration on turn-in when the driver's side wheel is loaded on a righthander only. No problems on lefthanders or going straight.

The car has a kaaz LSD and 400 lb/in. springs/konis up front.

I don't know if these shafts were meant to handle cornering loads but the vibration is a little scary to be honest.

I have to tell you that when the car is lowered beyond 1.7 in. the LSD doesn't like the angle on these shafts.

Has anyone else with these experienced the same problem or do you have any ideas as to what may be causing it?

I've contacted Frank by email today and hopefully he can shed some light on the problem as well.

Yes Dave but, he has broken a couple different type's of driveshaft's, Not just those.

But, by all means contact him T. besides him being a good friend of ours, he is a national level competing solo2 driver (SM), built his whole car, and is currently working through some axle issues... He tends to carry multiple spares to events and does swaps between heats.

I've followed his postings thus far with his dilemmas and your problem may, I repeat MAY be a result of the axle not being mated/seated fully or correctly but, rodney will know far more about this issue. I've only been there to hold back the hub while he prys and pushes...

well, i had a lot of issues with dss axles. i also use a clutch type diff, so that may be a little too rough on his driveshafts. i am working with a new company in an attempt to get something reliable in my car.
what you should do is check that you have no rotational play in the cv. my guess is that you do. i had that funky vibration under wfo throttle, and the only way to get rid of it was to use another (stock) axle.

thanks for your reply.

by checking rotational play, what do you actually mean in terms of physical assessment by that?

just wondering if the dirver's sidedriveshaft connection to the intermediate shaft may cause a problem while the LSD is unloading during right hand turn-in? I don't have this problem on the passenger side during lefthanders and while going straight. This is why I suspect my problem may be a bit different than Rodney's CV play problem. Anyone else? or should I ask over at Road Racing/Auto-X forum?

just as a follow-up and to let everyone who was kind enough to share their input/insights/experience here , Frank at driveshaftshop was helpful in identifying the source of the problem and will fix it.

I have vibration on the passenger side under hard accelleration mainly coming out of turns, but in a straight line sometimes as well. Only been a problem since installing the DSS stage 1's. oh well I cant worry about it right now.
