The Ubermotor meets the dyno. How did it do?
Right here here I took a poll of the group on how my tired old B18C1 would do on the dyno. Most popular was 150hp (15 votes), with "Will blow up on the dyno" and "Less than 140" tied for 2nd at 6 votes each.
And the winning number is?
146.6
This is after James and the JE gang (super cool folks BTW) ratched my timing up to 19 degrees of advance and gained 3hp as a result. I'd set it, by mere guesswork, to 17.
I've been told that this equates to around 160 on the more commonly found (but far less portable) dynojet type dynos.
So I guess I owe Bowie dinner...
