Default What is this connector for?

I don't have a pic, I am installing a turbo, but what do I do with the elec. connector that normally plugs into the intake piping (AEM CAI) before the throttle body.

you can put it in the charge pipe before the t.b.

does it need to be installed? Will it throw a cell because of the higher intake temp or should I put it before the compressor inlet of the turbo?

If your using a typer intake manifold, try finding the type that plugs into the actual intake manifold.

If not, make sure you put it into the charge pipe somewhere near the intake manifold, because the temp of the air after the turbo intake is going to be different than that of the air being pushed out of the turbo due to the turbo's heat or intercooler. You just wanna make sure that the IAT senses the air temp that is going into your car @ that xact moment. The only problem you might have is that the IAT might blow out depending on how much your boosting. Just use a few zip ties or something to keep it in. You need the IAT sensor because it uses air temp to adjust for fuel output.

yes, it needs to be installed, it will not throw a code for a higher intake air temp. i recomend putting it either before the throttle body or putting it into the intake manifold itself.

if you put it into the charge pipe, u might be able to dril and tap the charge pipe and than fasten it with bolts or screw it into the pipe. also put a rubber o ring around it so u dont have a leak where the sensor goes into the charge pipe.
