Default whats needed for ls vtec

i have a 89 civic si and im running a 91 b18a in it. i also have a 98 b18b sitting in my garage. i just got a vtec head head and want to put it on one of these blocks but dont know which one to put it on. open to suggestions. also should i get diffrent rods and pistons or would a set of used gsr rods and pistons fit in one of these blocks. how would i activate the vtec with a vtec controller or with a rpm switch. and would the ecu i run still work with it.
thanks

Ok, I would build the ls/vtec from the motor you are not currently using. You are going to need ls rods and gsr or b16 pistons unless you have a gsr crank. What kind of head are you using?

LS block
DOHC Vtec head
DOHC Vtec head studs (get ARP if you have the cash)
DOHC Vtec Oil pump
DOHC Vtec water pump
GSR (P72) timing belt if you use the vtec water pump
3/8 -4an pipe fitting
Stainless steel braded hose (2 feet is plenty)
LS head gasket
you can use the PR4 pistons and rods
ODD? Vtec ECU (PR3 if you go OBD0)
