i searched and all i foudn were posts that showed pix of how to get it off d series motors. i have my gsr motor sitting in my garage and was trying to run my oil feed line for turbo, well when i get the rubber boot off i try to get a socket over the sensor and it wont fit.... it appears that the sensor is too close to the oil filter and there is a metal hose that sits so close to the oil pressure sensor that i can not get a socket to fit over the sensor. i tried a closed and open ended wrench and no go.. how am i supposed to get the sensor off???

 

any takers?

 

is it the line for the coolant? iF so, take it off and then try again.

I've always used a 15/16 hex socket. Never had a problem.

 

so u used a 15/16 hex socket on a b series vtec motor to get the oil pressure sender off and never had a clearance problem with the socket? thats so weird because my socket (even tried a thin walled socket) wont even fit over it because theres a metal hose coming off the oil filter assembly that is way too clos to teh oil pressure sender unit. i will keep trying

 

i still can not get the socket over the oil pressure sensor. the oil filter assemply line is too close i dont know what to do now.

 

any one got any advice?
