Can my shift linkage make tranny grind?
this was happening to me ever since i got my swap. turned out the back end of the shift linkage was never installed right...it was missing the letal piece that held the bushing down.
sorry for the quality i took it with a palm. shifts like a dream now...used to grind in reverse.

ever since my swap, my tranny grinds when i put it in reverse too, BUT the only way it wont grind in reverse is if i put it in 4th and then reverse, then it wont grind, can somebody tell me WHY this is happening???

Sounds like your clutch is dragging just a little bit. Reverse doesn't have a synchro, so it grinds. Forward gears just resist a bit when you engage them. If your clutch were dragging badly, the synchros would block you out of the forward gears; just like they would if you didn't have the clutch pedal pressed in...
