I forgot who but someone said that there's a cheap way to fix this...anyone have some more info?
also, other than that bottleneck, the stock exhaust is fine right? i'm notgonna be running any thing really heavy duty.....

get a high flow cat,or test pipe..run a 2.5" inch custom exhaust piping, and get a stragiht thru free flow muffler like a apexi n1 or the 2.5" outlet/inlet magna flow which i have on mines and love it..and get a good set of headers

Really the stock ITR exhaust is good for keeping things quiet but for performance it lacks. There are a total of 3 bottle necks, the tubing diameter varies in 2 or 3 places and the tailpipe is only about 2-1/16" OD! If anyone plans on just going with the standard USDM DC, etc. 4-2-1 or 4-1 and no cams you should upgrade your cat to 2-1/4" and get a good 2-1/4" cat back system, i.e. Magnaflow. If you're more serious and get a JDM (65mm collector) or one of the US Custom built headers with a 2-1/2" collector, cams, etc.. you should be running the 2-1/2" test pipe or cat and 2-1/2" exhaust or you can get by with a 60mm exhaust with the B pipe modified for a smooth transition from the 2-1/2" ID cat outlet to the 60mm (2-3/8") OD cat back tubing.
FYI- I hope to be testing a new hi flow cat assembly in the next month (depends on how much time is lost in moving the shop) in which I'll be shooting for a 20% flow increase over the standard 2-1/2" 94006 Carsound cat. I'm just not sure if folks will be willing to pay for the extra performance to stay legal???

Does it go under the gas tank? Or does it make 2 bends and go under the area where the stock small resonator is? For a street car I like sticking with the stock location of the tubing.
Trying to move family, house and shop this month. Plus getting some headers out. It's been crazy to say the least.
