Default I've finally decided to boost:

Ok, I think I have finally decided to go ahead and boost my 1995 GSR. Im contemplately piecing together a turbo kit, or looking strongly at the greddy kit, but do not like its high initial price, but if its going to be safer then its worth it? what other mods would i need to run 5-10 safely, please keep in mind its my daily driver. I have thought about, adding a blockguard, and a new headgasket, do I need these items? what are some of the best ways to build a turbo kit? any and all help is greatly appreciated

you can run that amount of boost on a completely stock motor. Just think about getting an aftermarket computer like Hondata or something. Its pretty much all about not even messing with FMUs and crap like that.

see ive heard that with a stock motor low boost/ intercooled is acceptable, but everyone says the trick is definetly in the air/fuel management, thats my biggest dilemma

I dont understand what your dilemma is. The trick IS in the tuning. I've seen people melt pistons at 4 psi because of some crappy *** fuel setup or none at all. Just get an aftermarket computer and save yourself a whole lot of hassle and chances are your car will also be much faster.

I am using an older Hondata stage 2b with 550cc injectors that I'm pretty happy with. The car drives about as good as a stock car off boost. As far as parts go that is up to you. All anyone can give you is what has worked for them which will be different for everyone you ask.
