Removed Steering Wheel. NEED HELP!
Hey Guys, I'm a long time reader of H-T and just got my ITR a few weeks ago. Id post up pix of it but its pure stock and nothing too spectacular yet.
Anyway, I did a serach function regarding this but couldnt find anything so here goes:
I just removed the steering wheel to install a Momo Corse and have encountered some problems.
1. The Airbag light is ON. (How do I turn it off without disabling the Passenger Side Airbag)
2. The Turn Signal does not reset after turning (Does not return to regular position after completing a turn)
3. How do I wire up the horn?
Thanks for all the help and info. Hope to show some pix soon.

I live in Los Angeles, CA. If anyone wants to meet up sometime and go driving in the canyons, PM me.

I hate elitist ****** that was born with car knowledge. Jesus Harold Christ, it's just a $23,450 car.
I could only imagine when they have a slightly more expensive car.
1. Airbag light will stay on. Only way to turn it off is to unplug the harness behind the gauge cluster or remove the bulb. I've heard of some people finding other methods to shut this off. Either way, the passenger airbag won't work properly because the SRS Unit under the dash will go crazy if the Driver's side airbag isn't plugged up. Time to remove the passenger airbag and replace with a CDM one.
2. The hub that you purchased with the steering wheel should have a slot cut into it that controls the turn signal return. Make sure this is there or purchase a hub that was properly designed for your car. You shouldn't have to fabricate anything.
3. There's a thread going on somewhere on this board about this. Supposedly, you can get a Honda Only part and install it to get the horn to work. It's like a Horn "shoe" or something like that. But search on the topic "horn" or something closely related to that. Oh, the steering wheel should come with directions to wire it up. You just need ground and power.
Hope that Helps,
Len
