please help me balance my car, serious understeer problems.
i figured you all would know best. my car has serious understeer and i think i know why; but i want to know what i need to do to balance things out.
heres my setup as of now:
00' ex coupe
front susp. tech. strut bar
skunk2 camber arms
skunk2 rear lower tie bar
skunk2 rear 23mm swaybar
(please hold comments on thie one
) ractive coilover sleeves.
but the tein FLEX's are on order.
camber is set close to 0 degrees in front, and very bad in rear, it looks to me about -4 degrees.
all on kumho ecsta supras. (waiting to be used up so i can put the azenis's on!)
im looking for parts to balance this car out.
i.e. what bars or suspension parts, should i look into buying next?

Umm, fixing your rear camber might help. And you ought to run a little -camber up front.
Shocks are definitely a big problem if yours are still stock but you'll have that taken care of with the tein flexes.

With the set up you have right now, I'm not surprised you have under steer problems... Regardless of what spring rates you have. The stiffer rear bar & the -4 camber is making the rear work so well that the front just can't hang on and turn in. For street use you should have about -2Deg on the front and about -1Deg on the rear. Depending on your driving style and application.

You need some EM BARZ!!! Mad oversteer yo!
Seriously though, alignment settings and spring rates are going to be major factors in your car's handling characteristics. What spring rates did you order?

Yes, the zero camber in the front is the first thing that comes to mind. Most of us here try to add more camber to get the front end to plant itself. How much? Only a pyrometer will tell the true story on where your car needs it.
wow quick replies, i appreciate it.
they ar 9Kilos in the front and 5 in the rear.
KIWI, thats exactly what i was thinkn, my rear is workn much better than the front.
when i got my alignment, i noticed it got really sloppy and i hate it. but i didnt want to have to buy new tires fast, so i just had them set it as close to zero as possible.
besides re-aligning the car, what size sway bar should i put up front? would putting a front tie bar on be a little overkill??
should i get a rear strut bar or would that be wayyyyyy too much??

Don't buy any bars at all for awhile, the ones you have may not be helping already. Realign the car first and sucker punch whoever did it last. The fact that your front spring rates are much higher thant he rears isn't helping much. As noted you don't seem to have any performance dampers yet. Check to make sure that the car is not so low that it hits the bump rubbers immediately to add the the understeer issue. The added front bar is probably not helping your situation much but the alignment is probably the real key.
You have lots of stuff on the car already. You should first make sure they are being used right or that you want them at all before you go about buying more then have your first equipment purchase be a set of performance shocks.
