Need Help with ECU

Default Need Help with ECU

Hi my name is David and i have a 2000 Civic Si with a JDM B18C Engine+Tranny. Only thing missing that i actually have is my JDM type R ECU. Thing is im still running on the Si ECU becuase i have the Si Harness. I need help in figuring out what i should do. Alot of people told me to get a USDM type R ECU and it should plug right up with my Si Wiring harness. Other people said i should have a harness custom made to fit the JDM type R ECU. Some advice would be appreciated. thanks.

You could do a few things: Get an OBD2.5 to OBD1 adapter harness and then run a chipped P28 or P30 ECU which is the most common method. You could also use the JDM/USDM 00-01 Integra Type-R ECU which would plug into your cabin harness without an additional adapter harness. I'm assuming that you recieved an ECU with the swap but it's the 96-98 OBD2 style. If this is so, I would get a OBD2 to OBD2.5 adapter harness and use that ECU.
